Tactical playground: What the heck is this all about?

Tactical Playground is a community of online gamers with a few things in common; we are mature adults, we love to play realistic warfare games and simulations, and we like to have a good time.

Ok, i'm a mature gamer. what now?

Well, it depends on what you are looking for. If you want to sign up on our site to just socialize in our forums, then do so. If you are looking to get online and play some games or fly some planes, that's even better!  But you need to Create An Account and introduce yourself in our Forums.

Games? Planes? what are you talking about?

We have many users here, and even though we all have our favorite things to do, below is a list of what we all like to play in as a team:

• ArmA 2 with Operation Arrowhead
• IL-2: 1946 with HSFX mod
• Battlefield: Bad Company 2
• IL2: Cliffs of Dover
• Other Misc Tactical Titles...

Awesome games. i don't have any of them yet, but i want them. can you get me a copy?

While we are more than happy to get new members, we practice the 'buy it if you like it' theory. All our copies of games are legit, and even though you may personally do your own thing on your own computers, we have no say in it. We will not provide any members copies of any game. This is software piracy, and does not help support the people making the games we like to play.

Ok, cool. I'm in. Now what equipment will I need?

There are many devices out there that make the gaming experience easier, or even more realistic.  While they are not mandatory, the following are used by most of our group:

• TeamSpeak Voice Communications
• Flight Control Systems (HOTAS)
• TrackIR Device
• Gaming Keyboards and Mice
