In 2009 I had the pleasure of coaching my son's soccer team with an outstanding individual: Colonel Manson Morris, Commander of the 436th Airlift Wing here at Dover AFB. Col. Morris is not only runs one of the larger military bases on the east coast, but he is also an accomplished aviator. I approached him during one of the practices and asked if it was possible these days to get some stick time in the C-17 simulator at the base. Col. Morris was happy to oblige...

Found a downloadable .pdf for Storm of War that has some good details on the upcoming flight sim title as well as plenty of official screenshots. And, I might add, they are incredible.
Some key features being revealed:
- Tentative October 2010 date
- Aircraft will show wear & tear, not only visibly but performance also
- AAA guns can be manned by players who don't wish to fly
- Full HD video recording
- Players able to join in-progress missions if slots available
- Clickable cockpit controls (the important ones)
- Aircraft damage to model oxygen, radio, & control damage
- Dynamic weather, fog & smoke effects
Check out the original/full document below.

From Eurogamer.net:
EA has officially announced the new Medal of Honor game for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010.
Simply called "Medal of Honor", the game is set in present-day Afghanistan and focuses on Tier 1 Operators - super army soldiers, in other words - who get involved in situations all around the world.
"The development team has been working closely with Tier 1 Operators from the US Special Operations Community since the earliest stages of development to create the most authentic modern war experience," EA said in a press release.
While EALA works to create a "best-in-class" single-player campaign, EA DICE will work on multiplayer.

After a bleak weather forecast failed to materialize, Blake and I went ahead with our PA-28 flight over to Millville, NJ from Dover, DE. We call these little weekend jaunts our "$300 hamburger lunches".
Although it really doesn't cost that much if we plan the trips close to home, on this occasion I really wouldn't have minded paying twice that much because of what we stumbled upon.
While taxiing to park the Cherokee, we slowed as we passed a large blue hangar with the doors wide open revealing an impressive collection of vintage WWII aircraft.
